In Loving Memory of Robert Steven Allen
July 16, 2023 marked a profound loss as we said goodbye to Robert Steven Allen in Torrance, California, at the age of 44. His departure leaves a lasting void in the hearts of his beloved family and friends, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.
Robert is survived by his father, Dr. Steven Allen, and his wife, Katie Allen, along with Robert’s dear siblings: Chase, Roman, Maija, Tyler, Ryan, Andrew, Benjamin and grandfather, Cecil Moseley. Additionally, Robert leaves behind his loving mother, Nancy Watts, step-father, James Watts, devoted siblings, Elias Watts and Leslie Fritsch, brother-in-law, Riley Fritsch and niece and nephew, Idella and Stratton Fritsch. The loss of Robert is deeply felt by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and many dear friends.
Robert’s journey through life was marked by outstanding achievements. As the class valedictorian of Taylor Road Academy in Montgomery, Alabama, he set the stage for his academic success. From the University of Georgia, Robert earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. He went on to gain a Master of Education degree from Mercer University, a testament to his intellectual curiosity and dedication.
Passionate about education, Robert pursued a fulfilling career, first as a teacher, and later as the CEO of Tutor Hawaii, a supplemental educational service, where he dedicated himself to empowering and enlightening the lives of countless children across the Hawaiian Islands. His innovative educational programs brought positive transformations to the local school systems and impacted the lives of hundreds of young minds on Oahu.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Robert will be remembered for his immense compassion, warmth and positivity. Robert traveled the globe, never to lose his “Southern Gentleman” qualities. His infectious smile was a reflection of the generosity that resided in his heart. His love for family, friends, and a loyal companion, Savannah, his dog, knew no bounds. Robert’s adventurous spirit and athleticism was most evident in his passion for kite boarding, finding joy and solace in the beauty of nature.
In honor of his remarkable life, the family will hold a memorial at a future date, where all who knew and loved him can come together to celebrate the extraordinary person he was.
As we bid farewell to Robert Steven Allen, may his light continue to shine in our hearts so that we reflect his zest for life and compassion for others. Rest in peace, dear Robert. You will never be forgotten.
