In memory of Nancy Nurminen, beloved mother, wife and grandmother, who passed away on April 30th, 2020 from pancreatic cancer. Nancy was born in Ashtabula OH to parents Paul and Betty Campbell on October 25, 1941. She moved to El Segundo in 1962 where she married her husband, Raymond Nurminen, also of Ashtabula OH, on August 4, 1962. She is survived by her husband, Raymond; by her daughter Julie Trainer and her wife Leslie Barrett, and granddaughter Nicole Trainer of Munroe Falls, OH; and by her son Paul Nurminen and his wife Yadranka Draskovic, and grandsons Luke and Sasha of El Segundo. Nancy is also survived by her two younger sisters, Paulette Turano of PA and Patricia Woodall of OH. Nancy was loved by many friends over the years, especially those with whom she worked at the former Taylor’s Pharmacy, and later Hughes / Boeing in El Segundo. She attended St. John’s Lutheran Church. She loved spending time with family and friends, which included many trips to Laughlin, NV. And she and Raymond took frequent train trips together. As no services can be held currently due to the COVID-19 quarantine, the family plans to host a celebration of life in the fall on Nancy’s birthday.
